My name is Jen and I have a problem with plot.
It swirls around my head in a haze, but I can’t quite pluck it out of the air.
I’m hungry for more.
I can’t get enough – tension, conflict, action.
I stare into space and giggle uncontrollably, my fingers hovering helplessly above the keyboard.
My cast of characters sit around and do nothing, munching on cheesy puffs, waiting for me to supply more.
But I can’t.
I haven’t got any more.
I don’t know where I can acquire more.
I wrack my brain and roll the ideas around,
but I still have a problem with plot.

/ January 29, 2014If you have writer friends, loan them your characters for a weekend. They will certainly come back with a new set of tales to inspire you. At least it has worked for me in the past.

/ January 29, 2014Wow. I’m sure it would! And it would be so interesting to see what they came up with. Great idea! Thanks for sharing it. Wonder if I’d be magnanimous enough to give them up – even for a weekend!

/ February 11, 2014I hear you! just wait…it will come. My story that started feverish sat untouched for about 4 months and I just now feel it coming back. There are almost too many possibilities that it can be debilitating! Good luck!

/ February 12, 2014Four months!? I’d love that hiatus! But I can’t nitpick now. I’m currently back in the groove. Hopefully it’ll last this time! Hope you have fun fitting all your possibilities together!
